Dear Preschool Families,

We apologize for any inconvenience if you are experiencing trouble locating the BECP packet that is being attached to the Bellingham Public Schools’  website.

To make things a little easier we have included all of the links to the activities and websites at the bottom of this letter. If you wish to have a hard copy of the packet we are handing out copies today, Tues., Mar. 17th till 12 noon at the Stall Brook cafeteria & at the front entrance of the DiPietro Elementary School.

When you arrive at the school follow the line of cars and identify your child and preschool age group. A packet will be located and handed to you by staff.

The menu of activities have been assembled by preschool staff to help maintain your child’s preschool skills while we are away from school.  Please feel free to send us pictures, videos and/or notes of your children participating in these activities via SeeSaw or to our email addresses. We have included links to Story Read Alouds, Coloring Pages, Dough Recipes as well as sites that address gross and fine motor skills. We will be checking in with you periodically and will have new activities weekly. If you have any concerns or questions feel free to contact us via email. Stay healthy and we hope to see you soon!

All preschool screenings have been canceled. As soon as school resumes we will reschedule your screening.

Also please hold off sending in any registration paperwork and tuition payments. We cannot enter our buildings to pick up mail.

Thank you all for your cooperation and patience during this time.
Bellingham Public Schools offers an inclusive preschool program for 3-to-5 year old Bellingham residents.

Currently, the BECP operates at 2 preschool sites. One is at the Stallbrook Elementary and the other is at the DiPietro Elementary School. Students are placed according to their home address or by available openings. Both sites offer the same curriculum and share staff.

Now in its 31st year, the Bellingham Early Childhood Program is a full inclusion preschool program that recognizes that parents are the first teachers of their children. The program follows the guidelines of the Massachusetts Preschool Learning Experiences and Standards. These standards are recognized by the NAEYC, a nationally accreditation organization for preschools and daycare. We work with families of children ages three through five forming a partnership for quality education and care. Our staff values the uniqueness of each child and is committed to providing a safe, nurturing, positive environment. Focusing on a balance of activities appropriate for young children, the curriculum gives equal regard to all areas of development: cognitive, social, emotional aesthetic, and physical.
